Susanna Sio

Susanna is serving as the Director of EWLI. She was born in Macau and grew up in Hong Kong, China. She received her B.A. in management from the U.S. and has a master in Cross Cultural Studies. 

Sheila Malakar

Sheila serves EWLI as the Administrative Assistant. She has 20 years of experience working in various Indian organizations, has a B.A. and a G. Th. from a Bible institute in addition to a secretarial and a computer diplomas and she is currently pursuing a MBA degree. She is originally from Jhansi.

Hindi Teachers / Tutors

Geeta Rai

Geeta Rai is our senior teacher and language consultant. She is in great demand by foreigners seeking to learn Hindi, and has more than 20 years experience in teaching classes and individual tuition sessions. Geeta’s educational background (M.A. in Hindi literature), and previous experience in teaching at the Landour Language School, the University of California – Berkeley program, and U.S. AID, have been instrumental in helping design our program. She has taught at EWLI since 1997. She is from Mussoorie, Uttaranchal state.

Subodh Kumar

Subodh Kumar joined EWLI in July 2006 and has had a rich and varied experience of more than 30 years throughout north India in various organizations and capacities. He has an M.A. in Public Administration, an M.A. in Philosophy, and a Bachelor of Divinity from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune. He is from Chhattisgarh state.

Renu Kumar

Renu joined EWLI in July 2006 serving as a conversation partner in the beginning. Now she becomes one of our Hindi teachers this year. She has a B.A. degree and another degree in Education. She has proven to be a great asset to the EWLI team with her teahcing skills and servant's heart. She is a native of Delhi.

Mohan Singh

In addition to serving as the EWLI Office Assistant, Mohan is a friendly Conversation Partner. He is a native of Delhi.
